Co-Lin netters blank Holmes 9-0

GOODMAN – The No. 25 Co-Lin Lady Wolves blanked the Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs in tennis action Wednesday.

"We picked up their first 9-0 win," said tennis coach Brenda Smith. "The girls didn't lose a game in doubles or singles."

The No. 1 doubles team of Ximena Daza and Carmen Manicea defeated Alexia Kahmann and Avery Terrell 8-0 and Katy and Kara Clark blanked Hannah Thomas and Lucy Oakes 8-0 at No. 2. Holmes forfeited the No. 3 doubles match.

In singles action, they Lady Wolves blanked Holmes in each match. Daza defeated Kahmann at No. 1, Manicea beat Thomas at No. 2, Katy Clark took care of Terrell at No. 3, and Kara Clark defeated Oakes at No. 4. Holmes forfeited at No. 5 and No. 6.

The Lady Wolves (8-2) travel to Mississippi Gulf Coast on Wednesday, April 11, with matches beginning at 1 p.m.
