Tennis Competes In ITA Tournament

ELLISVILLE – The Co-Lin Women's and Men's Tennis teams recently competed in the ITA Tournament held on the campus of Jones in Ellisville from Wednesday, September 25 through Saturday, September 28. The two teams had several members make it to the championship of the main draw and consolation brackets.

For the Lady Wolves, the doubles pairing of Yari Bello (Caracas, Venezuela) and Munashe Bera (Bulawayo, Zimbabwe) were A Draw Doubles Finalists and have a potential chance at reaching the ITA Cup with an At-Large bid while Sophie Sisson (Pascagoula) was a finalist in the B Draw Singles Consolation bracket and Allie Grace McNeil (Brookhaven) was the C Draw Consolation Singles Champion.

For the Wolves, Jax Leggett (Bogue Chitto) took home the C Draw Singles Championship in the Main Draw while Ege Altas (Istanbul, Turkey) and Jake Bucek (Geelong, Australia) took home the A Draw Doubles Consolation championship while Bucek was also a finalist in the A Draw Singles Consolation bracket.

Both teams continue fall preseason play on October 4 against Southwest and Belhaven University.
