Bio

Katie Kyzar is in her second year as an assitant athletic trainer at Co-Lin. In her current role she will help with all sports that Co-Lin offers.

Before joining the Co-Lin staff, Katie served as the Assistant Athletic Trainer at Hinds Community College helping cover all sports offered there as well. Previously, she served as the Assistant Athletic Trainer at Belhaven University primarily covering soccer and softball. Additionally, she has worked at Centenary College as the Assistant Athletic Trainer, primarily covering volleyball, women’s basketball, and softball.

Prior to her time at Centenary College, she served as a graduate assistant for Rehab Associates in Montgomery, Alabama. While there she was an Outreach Athletic Trainer for Edgewood Academy, providing coverage for all their athletics. She has also served as an Intern Athletic Trainer at Millsaps College, primarily covering cross country, men’s soccer, volleyball, softball, and track and field.

Katie graduated from Delta State University in 2015 with her bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training. While in Alabama, she completed her master’s degree in 2018 from Auburn University at Montgomery in Sports Management. Katie is originally from Ellisville, MS in her spare time she enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and enjoys crafting. She is the daughter of Jake and Candace Kyzar and has a brother, Kevin, who is the sports information coordinator at Co-Lin.
