Three Wolves Named All-MACCC Honorable Mention

WESSON – The Co-Lin Baseball team had three members honored with All-MACCC Honorable Mention when the conference announced postseason honors on Monday, May 23.

Redshirt-sophomore Tom Biggs (Columbia, La.), sophomore Kenner Bizot (Wesson), and freshman outfielder Josh Boone (Foxworth) were all named to honorable mention by the conference.

Biggs played in 42 games for the Wolves in the 2022 season primarily as the second baseman or designated hitter. The Stephen F. Austin commit had the second most hits and at-bats on the team with 39 and 125 respectively while finishing with a .312 batting average, .389 on-base percentage, and a team leading .672 slugging percentage and shared the team lead in runs scored with 26. Biggs also led the Wolves in doubles with 11, triples with five, home runs with eight, and RBIs with 29.

Bizot played in 38 games for the Wolves as the first baseman. The Mississippi College commit had the third-most hits and at-bats on the team with 34 and 120 while also finishing second on the team in runs scored with 25. Bizot finished the season with a .283 batting average, .356 on-base percentage, and .475 slugging percentage while having the second-most doubles, home runs, and RBIs with eight, five, and 25 in those categories and carried a .911 fielding percentage throughout the season.

Boone played in 41 games for the Wolves as an outfielder. The Foxworth, Mississippi native led the team in hits, at-bats, and shared the team lead in runs scored with 45, 128, and 26 respectively. Boone finished the season with a team-leading .352 batting average, while also leading the team in on-base percentage at .440, and had a .445 slugging percentage with seven doubles, one triple, one home, and 20 RBIs while carrying a .969 fielding percentage throughout the 2022 season.
