Toreld finishes second, Wolves finish fifth in Bobcat Invitational

LAUREL, Mississippi - Co-Lin freshman Oscar Toreld finished strong firing a second round 71 for a two-day total of 146 in the Bobcat Invitational held at Laurel Country Club, hosted by Jones College. Will Burnham of Mississippi Gulf Coast captured the individual title at 141. Toreld and Burnham were named to the All-Tournament Team along with Connor Phillips of Jones College (151), Andrew Zielinski and Stanley Campbell, both of Gulf Coast at 152 and 153 respectively, and Will Thompson of East Central (153).  

After starting the day one shot out of second place, the Co-Lin Wolves finished a disappointing fifth. Mississippi Gulf Coast won the team title running away from the field at 601 (299-302). Jones College finished second at 634 (324-310) followed by East Central 640 (324-316), Meridian 643 (326-327), Co-Lin 647 (325-322), Northeast 657 (328-329), East Mississippi 660 (336-324), Hinds 680 (345-335), Itawamba 693 (345-348), Southwest 714 (379-335), and Pearl River 719 (359-360).

Individually for Co-Lin, following Toreld at 146 was Reese McLaurin 164 (82-82), Lander Guibert 165 (82-83), Jamie Hernandez 172 (86-86), Myles Walters 175 (87-88), and Harlan Brewer, competing as an individual, 177 (86-91).
